Before Hitting The Road

This post is the beginning, where I try to explain myself and give everyone a frame of reference from which to read my ramblings. So many people I run across find out I'm the wine business and exclaim how much fun that must be. Since I've been doing this job for 20 years, I'm pretty dumb if I don't concur. But in this blog, you can decide for yourself whether what I do is fun. I'm hoping to chronicle what everyone assumes must be the best part of the job, drinking and eating my way across a foreign country in pursuit of rare and delicious wines. I beg your forgiveness now for all the spelling errors and run-on sentences, plus a thousand other grammatical I can't name, but will certainly make after 10 hours of drinking while typing with frostbitten fingers and a numb brain. Hope you enjoy... for now I'll just stress over all the increased security for the flight and how look cool in a same sweater for 14 days. It sounds like fun already doesn't it?
